Kelly Rowland is fierce. As an original member of Destiny’s Child, the world’s top-selling female supergroup, she helped to propel them to over 100 million albums sold worldwide and countless awards. After their mercurial success, she could have easily retired at 23.

One thing even her most loyal fans came to learn, however, was this: Kelly Rowland is also fearless. And rather than rest on some very impressive laurels, in 2002 she claimed the solo spotlight with her category-defying debut album Simply Deep. Her #1 Grammy-winning smash “Dilemma” took the album past double platinum worldwide, making her a musical force to be reckoned with in her own right.

Even with a career as stellar as hers, Kelly just gets better with time, spending as much of it as she saw fit to craft her latest collection, aptly titled Ms. Kelly. Taking on the big screen in Freddy vs. Jason and The Seat Filler and taking her final bow with Destiny’s Child in 2005 kept her busy, but also guided her in new directions both musically and vocally. Kelly delivers like never before with club and radio-friendly songs, including “Like This”, her sassy Polow Da Don-produced collaboration with Eve. She intentionally invited a select few VIPs to this musical event. Snoop Dogg and Tank also appear on the album, but as Ms. Kelly puts it, “this time, I wanted to show more of myself.”
